Credit card-based e-ticketing according to the National Department of Transport (NDoT) standard in association with the member banks of the Payments Association of South Africa (PASA).

The new ticketing system allows the use of the South African e-ticketing standard according to the so-called EMV standard with credit cards of the participating payment card organizations.

The ALMEX ticketing system was the first contactless EMV solution in South Africa for the standard MasterCard PayPassTM.
