The winner of the competition (DESTINE European Skills Leagues), which was carried out by European companies/institutions as part of a kind of “European Innovation Community”, is our trainee Maik Stöter!
The aim of the project, which was put out to tender by the EU, was to further develop additive manufacturing (all types of 3D printing), to be an international pioneer and thus to be able to train specialists.
The LZH Laser Akademie GmbH, together with the vocational school BBS-ME, called for a design competition.
The task was to design a component consisting of 6 circularly arranged jet nozzles, a common powder tank and compressed air connection and can be produced by means of metal 3D printing in the powder bed process (with all required functions).
The best 3 results have been qualified for the second European round, which will take place in Madrid in February 2022.
The three best from the participating European countries (Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy,…) will participate and in a competition week they will be able to experience not only the continuation of the competition, but also joint workshops, company tours and, of course, an award ceremony.
We are incredibly proud of his great performance and keep our fingers crossed for Maik!
